Farcycles offers a variety of Saturday morning group rides at different distances and speeds. Each ride has a designated Ride Host and includes a mid-route coffee stop. The emphasis is on social riding as a group and exploring the beautiful area. The rides run throughout the year, with actual timings and routes adapting to the forecast and season.

Saturday rides are where the Farcycles started out as a group. We meet in the Market Place in Faringdon on Saturday mornings to enjoy a choice of rides depending on your ability. Rides are split into three distances; 25 miles, 40 miles and 60 miles. These distances vary through the year but the rides are all managed by a Host to ensure no one is left behind.

The Midweek Marvel is a leisurely 40-mile bike ride departing from Faringdon's Market Square every Wednesday at 9 AM. Perfect for a midweek escape, the ride is designed to be social and relaxing, with a steady pace and a scenic route through the Oxfordshire countryside. The highlight of the ride is a delightful coffee and cake break at a local cafe.

As we endeavour to encourage as many people as possible to make cycling part of their lives, we offer courses for cyclists who haven’t been out on the road for a while, perhaps many years, and would just like someone to support them in building up their confidence before venturing out on their own.

Cycling is for everyone of all ages. It is great for your mental health and well-being. It is an extremely social activity and families are encouraged to ride together and make the most of the surrounding countryside. We offer supported rides to take families on short loops, around 15 miles, to show them safe and quiet places to ride together.

During July each year, the Farcycles team organise an annual sportive around the Cotswold countryside. There are three routes of differing length and elevation depending upon your experience. This is not a race and is designed for riders to push themselves or just take it easy.
